Purpose of Position

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Report to management regarding the finances of the company.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Perform all related cost accounting activities.
  • Manage fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions, and related reporting.
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Analyze budgets and prepare periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Provide assistance for auditing activities.
  • Provide support to Project Managers.
  • Maintain project warranty recordkeeping.
  • Prepare departmental labor reports, including monthly production hours report.
  • Assist Accounting Clerks as needed.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliation of General Ledger account.

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in lieu of experience

  • Sedentary, non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature
