Purpose of Position

The Program Manager, Fleet Management has primary responsibility for overseeing opdevelopment of assigned aircraft fleets, managing teams in collaboration with other Program Managers.  Ensures simulators and other training devices are built and maintained to standards and specifications in line with company goals and objectives.
The primary responsibility is to develop business cases for presentation to fleet management and make recommendations to the Project Planning Board. Create and implement of projects tied to simulator program activities, including new simulator standups, decommissions, sustainment, upgrades, modifications, and relocations. In addition, they will have direct input to the long-term strategies aligned with Fleet Management.   

Tasks and Responsibilities

•    Project Management – To include full standup to completion
•    Develop comprehensive project plans ensuring establish timelines, critical path items and key milestones in accordance with overall project plan.   
•    Communicate scope, priorities, timelines, and budget to project stakeholders and ensure all projects are managed. 
•    Coordinate with operations for assigning resources to support projects. 
•    Evaluate requirements and ensure alignment with  Fleetwide Strategy.   
•    Coordinate data transfers between OEM, regulators and FlightSafety, assuring security and export compliance protocols. 
•    Ensure project aligns with contract requirements, including nondisclosure terms, data licenses, data usage and general provisions. 
•    Oversee product quality assurance and user acceptance testing of simulators and related devices.
•    Support data collection methods for strategic reporting of metrics, feedback, and continuous improvement systems. i.e. Power Bi and other analytical tools 

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university preferred

Minimum Experience

seven (7) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience can be substituted for the degree requirement

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

•    Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management Software 
•    Knowledge of classroom, flight simulator and aircraft training techniques and procedures. 
•    Skills in budget development and management.   
•    Skills in technical writing and business case development. 
•    Skills in leadership and people management.   
•    Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional manner.  
•    Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-pressure situations.  
•    Ability to read and interpret OEM and technical documents, contracts, and drawings.  
•    Ability to drive, obtain passport and occasionally travel to support fleetwide programs. 
•    Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read, and write. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; communicate and perform keyboarding activities. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop and/or bend.  Occasionally may require using stairs or ramp and be subject to noise and vibration during operation of simulation devices.   
Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to view monitors, technical documents, and reference material.  This job also requires the visual acuity to identify and distinguish colors.  
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to travel.  The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
