Purpose of Position
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Work directly with customers to collect required information for issue resolution.
• Create and update configurations to correct and maintain customer systems.
• Reproduce reported issues and clearly communicate them to the correct engineering teams.
• Apply for and maintain a security clearance if required.
• Consult with software and hardware engineers as part of a cross functional team.
• Communicate effectively across departments.
• Mentor and assist other software engineers.
• Prepare documentation including customer test guides and internal or external user guides.
• Travel, shift work, or special work hours may be required to support assigned tasks.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other applicable technical field and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Experience with C, C++, Python, or PowerShell programming.
• Strong problem solving abilities.
• Meticulous, thorough, and detail oriented work style.
• Scripting or programming experience.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and courtesy with customers.
• Results driven approach to work.
• Ability to build positive partnerships and collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
Technical Experience (Preferred)
• Ability to read and use technical specifications.
• Experience with Lean or Agile software development practices.
• Experience using Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, or Crucible.
• Experience with version control software such as SVN, Perforce, or Git.
