Discover, interpret, and present engineering concepts and information to support operations and maintenance personnel.


Assist the Logistics Manager and Supervisor of Technical Publications in planning publications and SOS projects.


Develop, monitor and use budgets and schedules dealing with both hours and dollars.


Assist in planning and performing support documentation projects and activities.


Complete all tasks associated with technical writing assignments.


Use the English language concisely, accurately, and expressively.


Interpret engineering drawings and documentation.


Develop effective lines of communication with technical experts.


Generate line drawings to illustrate technical systems and concepts using available software such as Design Cad or Corel Draw.


Originate technical write-ups by relating technical knowledge acquired using desktop publishing software.


Be able to manage two major projects simultaneously, including the output of other technical writer, with little guidance.


Define writing assignment requirements associated with standard documents and layout all tasks necessary to satisfactorily complete documentation generation normally required in a simulator manufacturing environment.


Act as lead writer, training and directing others in the completion of associated tasks and the use of PC publishing programs and associated application packages.




Associates Degree in Electronics Technology, communications, or English plus one-year experience in direct technical support of digital and analog flight simulators or related equipment; or a minimum of two years as an apprentice or equivalent combination of writing education and experience.


Engineering Drawing Program (i.e. AutoCAD, Solid Works), Illustrating Program (i.e. Coral Draw, Paint Shop Pro), Adobe Acrobat, Word Processing Program, Desktop Publisher.

Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance
