Purpose of Position

Responsible for leading the Inventory Control operation within the warehouse. Compiling and analyzing inventory related reports to ensure the production schedule is met for multiple work centers daily. Delegating and directing day-to-day tasks within the Inventory Control operation for multiple Material Handler Coordinators.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identifying and responding to inventory-related problems, while working with the appropriate departments to resolve issues.
  • Coordinating with Purchasing and Accounts Payable departments to resolve discrepancies relating to inventory accuracy and receiving.
  • Ensuring purchased and manufactured parts are received and issued in a timely fashion, and monitoring Inventory workload to ensure required actions are completed in order to meet production requirements.
  • Working with the Warehouse Supervisor to establish procedure and monitor the disposal of excess/obsolete inventory to minimize financial loss to the company; coordinating the return of materials to vendors
  • Ensuring that cycle counting is done as scheduled
  • Analyze inventory data and cycle counts, determine if the problem is recurring and if so, recommend a solution to fix the issue.
  • Manage the input and processing of MAR’s and Repairs.
  • Manage material shortages and overages.
  • Responsible for receiving and stocking CFE items in accordance to the bought to job locations.
  • Working with the Warehouse Supervisor on CFE dispositions and the organization of the CFE inventory.
  • Supporting the Fulfillment Team by providing back up coverage to the Kitting Lead.
  • Capable of solving department related problems independent of additional supervision.
  • Ability to create consistent work flow through the department by dividing workload between teammates.
  • Exhibit mastery of the current inventory management operating software and other job related software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.

Minimum Education

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or minimum five years of Supply Chain related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Syteline, Fastpic, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Word

Inventory management software, standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.

Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
