Purpose of Position
Installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots computer equipment on simulators both in house and onsite.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assembly and integration of equipment cabinets and subsystems on production devices.
- Installation of software on the production devices.
- In house visual support of production devices.
- Modify procedures under supervision of lead.
- Support site installation of production devices. Travel is required.
- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
- Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
- Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.
- Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
- Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Minimum Education
AS in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of the inner workings of a PC. Ability to change user serviceable parts. Current CompTIA A+ required, security plus or higher certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- PC, Workstation, Laptop, Server, peripherals, common PC buss hardware, networking basics. Basic knowledge of hand tools. Be able to interpret drawings.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Must work with keyboard, mouse, and monitor for long periods of time.
