Purpose of Position
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for the preparation of price proposals which meet all company policies and practices and government pricing regulations and for the preparation of historical pricing data.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Organizes and prepares assigned price proposals and assists in the preparation of all other proposals in accordance with company policies and practices and in accordance with government regulations, including but not limited to FAR’s, CAS and GAAP.
- Enters pricing information into the pricing system and is responsible for the independent preparation of a complete and accurate cost or pricing volume for submittal to FlightSafety’s various customers in accordance with government regulations.
- Prepares and maintains complete documentation on all pricing efforts and supports any audits of the pricing proposals.
- Analyzes historical information to provide sound cost and pricing documentation.
- Communicates with technical and operational personnel to ensure accurate and timely accumulation and submission of pricing information.
- Assists in presenting pricing packages to internal management for review and approval.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; five years of progressive experience in pricing and/or financial analysis within a DOD environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum Experience
- Three years of progressive experience in pricing and/or financial analysis within a DOD environment or equivalent.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Solid knowledge of Windows applications including Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Excel.
- Ability to fluently read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to clearly relay information, both verbally and written, to others.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the teammate is regularly required to sit, use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The teammate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The teammate must have close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
