Position Purpose:
The Product Assurance (PA) Specialist is responsible for following Aircrew Training Systems (ATS) Quality Assurance (QA) programs in accordance with all FlightSafety Defense (FSID) ATS contracts, Quality Assurance Program Plans, and other applicable program plans as directed. Conduct design assessment, inspection, and review of assigned products. Participate in product specification acceptance and reviews to ensure technical completeness and accuracy.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, monitors, and participates in acceptance testing and validation of facilities, equipment, courseware, and software.
- Provides signature authority for initial product acceptance and re-certification activities.
- Assists in activities associated with product configuration data management; hardware, software, and courseware as directed by program requirements.
- Ensures FlightSafety Defense Quality Manual and FSSC ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100D requirements are met.
- Follows Quality Assurance Program Requirements, Procedures and Safety Plans to ensure quality of products and services are conforming.
- Assists in Simulator Test Group development, acceptance, implementation and maintenance of FAA AC 120-40B and 14 CFR Part 60, or other as applicable.
- Assist in internal QA and ISO Audits as directed.
- Maintains deficiency report database, including managing the deficiency report and corrective action process.
- Reports company configurations, logistics, non-conforming practices and products to the Quality and Product Assurance Manager.
- Conducts follow-up inspections of the corrective actions taken to resolve deficiencies noted by deficiency reports.
- Reviews monthly QA activity report provided by Quality and Product Assurance Manager.
- Identifies adverse trends affecting quality by reviewing and analyzing the data reported and collected on product assurance indicators.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
- Ability to adhere to quality requirements and plans of action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance.
- Working knowledge of software applications, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Excel.
- Basic knowledge of DOD and military standards and specification practices.
- Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100D series standards and applications.
Education and Formal Training:
Bachelor’s Degree with a technical or supervisory emphasis or four years, combination of education, experience and training in addition to the requirements below.
Experience:
Five years of experience in quality, program operations, manufacturing, engineering and or ATD’s.
Materials and Equipment Directly Used:
Computers, Software applications, Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel.
