Purpose of Position
The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a key role on the Finance team. This position leads all financial analysis efforts in support of FlightSafety Simulation Systems, our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and providing insights to optimize simulation production efficiency and profitability.
Tasks and Responsibilities
The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages and prepares reports, analysis, and forecasts for FlightSafety Simulation Systems.
- Monitors and analyzes production costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses to help drive cost improvements.
- Coordinates company reports including weekly and monthly results and presentations for the leadership team.
- Partners with managers and operations teams to optimize production costs and improve efficiency.
- Analyzes inventory levels, working capital, and assist in the capital expenditure approval process to ensure optimal financial decision making.
- Investigates and explains operational and financial variances to budget.
- Identifies, assesses and communicates issues affecting profitability.
- Provides advisory support to assigned departments on matters pertaining to budget, accounting, and related financial issues and procedures.
- Analyzes and interprets financial information submitted for trends, checking for reasonableness and accuracy.
- Develops and documents financial analysis projects.
- Performs ad hoc analysis as needed.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
Minimum Experience
5+ years of relevant experience, preferred

- Proficient with EXCEL, Access, Word, PowerPoint
- Travel when required
