Purpose of Position

The Inventory Management Analyst, Senior oversees all SAP Inventory Management Transactions by Civil Operations Learning Centers ensuring transactions properly flow into SAP in accordance with auditable work instructions and FlightSafety Policies and Procedures. This position is the Subject Matter Expert for all aspects of SAP-IM including Troubleshooting and indirectly leads the Inventory Management Analyst as well as Spares Support Specialists serving as Subject Matter Experts.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations in SAP Inventory Management System ensuring activities are in line with policies and procedures; process and maintain accurate inventory transactions
  • Analyze purchase orders to ensure best practices are being used as described in the Material Management QWI
  • Manage the SAP Inventory Management Service Desk; prioritize tickets, assign work requests to Inventory Management Analyst or Subject Matter Experts, track for timely resolution, as well as provide technical support through ServiceNow web platform
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Learning Centers on inventory management processes and procedures
  • Support operations in the creation of new material masters, document drawing control numbers, price agreements, and procurement procedures
  • Lead collaboration with IT and SAP Developers to recommend and help implement new enhancements in the production environment related to SAP inventory management
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing to validate SAP changes and updates
  • Manage asset capitalization, cross-currency transfers, and retirement of fixed assets
  • Provide guidance to Learning Center employees in the completion of annual inventory verification plan and report on progress to plan
  • Perform data mining and prepare analysis for inventory management decisions
  • Recommend course of action to key stakeholders regarding IM process for different customer simulator scenarios.
  • Author and maintain SAP User Guides, work instructions, job aids, and training documents for material management
  • Manage content of Operations Simulator Operations Inventory Management TeamSpace Site
  • Lead collaboration efforts with Business Units to resolve Inventory system issues and enhancements.
  • Train and mentor Inventory Management Analyst and Spares Support Specialists.
  • Travel as required

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Technology

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of SAP MM-IM and SAP FI
  • Experience with Service-Now IT Service Desk web application
  • Proficient with MS Office- Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Great troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and to handle requests in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
