Purpose of Position
Coordinate with FlightSafety Centers and outside customers to provide product delivery support of FlightSafety Training Devices.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Installs, checks out, operates, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
- Responsible for component level troubleshooting and repair.
- Provides guidance and training to internal and external customer.
- Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and or reduce cost of operation.
- Coordinate with the site/customer technical interfaces and Simulation Systems Engineering to define specific requirements that may affect design efforts for modification, upgrades and new training equipment.
- Coordination and leadership in resolution of difficult and nontypical technical issues.
- Responsible for coordination and implementation of modifications, updates and changes.
- Extensive travel - up to 50% of calendar year, moments notice travel, shift work, and overtime may be required to accomplish some of the above tasks.
- Responsible for limited software modifications, updates and changes.
- This position requires on call support as needed.

Minimum Education and Experience
Associates degree in a technical field and a minimum of two years’ experience in a technical field, or six years with experience in fault isolation, problem correction and equipment modification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Valid Drivers License, where applicable.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
