Purpose of Position
Interns will perform meaningful work alongside other talented professionals gaining insight to FlightSafety International’s culture and business philosophy. This paid internship is a 11-week program beginning on May 28, 2024 and ending on August 02, 2024. 40 hours per week will be expected of each intern.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
- Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
- Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
- Learns and becomes proficient on internal software systems.
- Provide a timely, relevant, and accurate reporting and analysis of financial performance compared against historical budgeted, and forecasted results to facilitate decision-making and achievement of the budget and strategic plan
- Work with Department Managers on budget and forecasts, including ongoing monitoring of performance and ad-hoc analyses related to their function.
- Identify, assess and communicate issues affecting profitability.
Minimum Education
- Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, working towards an accounting degree.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application. Must be submitted on resume.
Minimum Experience
- Fundamental knowledge of computer programs, techniques, and concepts for the area of application.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree (prefer rising undergraduate junior or senior)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application. Must be submitted on resume.
- Task-oriented, organized, and conscientious.
- Clear, professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, positive, personable, and ability to develop relationships.
- Must be proficient in EXCEL, Word, Outlook.
- Must be comfortable with Excel spreadsheets, tracking, and analysis.
- Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
