This position involves a standard schedule of 20-30 hours per week onsite, shift flexible, supporting our Houston Learning Center.


The Teammate Resources (TR) Administrator is responsible for providing support to their assigned Business Units. They act as the TR point of contact focused on the business’ operational and transactional needs, as well as supporting the business unit on a variety of initiatives such as employee relations, talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and employee development, workplace compliance issues and policy interpretation.


This is an individual contributor position. This person will work as a team member, taking direction from Corporate TR and Center Management to deliver results to meet the goals of the business unit, Corporate TR and FlightSafety International’s worldwide position as a premier aviation training company by performing the following duties::


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.

Administrative TR Support

  • Provides Teammate Resources support to assigned Business Unit(s) teammates and managers
  • Provide administrative support to Center / Business, including pay authorizations, new hires, transfers, file maintenance, bulletin boards, and other duties as required
  • Supports implementation of programs to promote teammate performance, engagement, satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensures timely implementation of personnel actions and compliance documentation
  • Maintain oversight of vendors and/or outsourced partners
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws


Talent Acquisition / Recruiting

  • Participate in employment activities with Corporate Talent Acquisition organization.
  • Create Job Postings, and evaluate responses. Recommend suitable candidates for interview          
  • Maintain and track applicant flow in eRecruiting
  • Coordinates and conducts interviews with candidates
  • Maintain recruiting and other compliance records.
  • Provide interview guidelines to Managers for interviewing sessions.
  • Conduct pre-employment background checks and other duties regarding hiring activities at location.
  • Prepare and coordinate new hire paperwork for chosen candidate(s), including offer letter and other documentation, extend approved offers
  • Conduct new employee orientations


Teammate Relations 

  • Ensure Company policies are administered fairly and consistently for compliance and, internal equity and application
  • Assist TR Generalist and Assistant Director with investigations
  • Point Of Contact for teammates for any questions regarding the site, their functional group, benefits, payroll, travel, expense items, etc.
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing teammates


Performance Management

  • Support Business Units with the Performance Management cycle, to include processing and implementation.
  • Full cycle ownership of the  Performance Appraisal process, to ensure reviews are conducted in timely manner, provide guidance to managers, process appraisals with Corporate offices.
  • Participate in counseling and performance appraisals with teammates



  • Support the development and implementation of training programs, which are in line with company business objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with, and may conduct training of Managers on HR practices – teammate relations, interviewing, performance evaluations and teammate development, etc.


Teamwork – Internal & External Activities

  • Act as liaison between teammates, management and Corporate office(s) to resolve issues related to payroll, benefits, taxes, etc.
  • Interact with the Approval Authorities on Payroll Authorization functions such as New Hire, Promotion, Merits, Transfers, etc.
  • Work with Safety representative at the Center, to disseminate safety information and address safety issues impacting the Center and its day-to-day processes.
  • Support Management team in the production and promotion of training and informational programs. 
  • Participate as a member of CARE presentation group at the Center; facilitate CARE meeting(s) on a rotational basis with other members.


Documentation and Reports Activities

  • Administrative: Will be responsible for a variety of administrative activities to support TR activities to include new hire paperwork, orientation, HRMS updates, and exit interviews, May also maintain pre-employment and post offer testing, attend ISO audit when necessary, etc.
  • Compliance: Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. Ensures compliance of TR plans and procedures. Partners with management to implement programs to meet the deficient target areas in conjunction with Affirmative Action plans.
  • Workers’ Compensation: Act as Point-of-Contact for all reporting and paperwork regarding accidents and injuries to teammates at the Business Unit, while on FlightSafety International property or elsewhere on company business. These duties may also include the following: follow-up with teammate regarding ability to return to work, appropriate medical releases, follow-up therapy, maintenance of necessary files, and generation of yearly OSHA 300/301 report and other OSHA forms based on compensation claims




  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent experience preferred, or five (5) years' related experience and/or training;
  • Minimum of 3 years previous TR (HR) experience including proven core expertise.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: (Preferred Requirements)

  • Related Professional Certification or Degree in related discipline
  • PHR or SPHR Certification



  • Fluency in English through both verbal and written communications; able to speak, understand, read and write
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Federal and State labor laws.
  • Solid basic knowledge in teammate relations investigation, policy administration and talent acquisition.
  • Basic understanding of Organizational Development/Performance Management/ Coaching skills.
  • Understanding of Payroll, OSHA, FMLA, Disability Leave, Workers Compensation, Benefits, and Employment Law (including National Labor Relations Act, Dept. Of Labor, Fair Labor Standards Act, ERISA, HIPAA).
  • Ability to operate effectively in an independent manner and with with good judgment
  • Ability to manage change and successfully juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to analyze problems and effectively provide solutions.
  • Able to deliver informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Must be trustworthy, dependable and able to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
  • Good knowledge of the following software: MS Office. MS Access and SAP or Oracle HRMS preferred as is previous experience w Taleo ATS or Success Factor Performance Management software. Other software programs may be required, as needed
