The Regulatory Affairs Program Representative (RAPR) assists the Regulatory Affairs management team regarding duties associated with FAA and other Aviation Authorities.

 

NOTE:  The term “Aviation Authority” means a government entity required for FlightSafety Business (example: Veterans Administration, FAA, EASA, Transport Canada, UK CAA, ANAC, DGAC, etc,)

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

Regulatory Affairs Activities:

 

  • Be knowledgeable on all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) with FlightSafety for air carrier customers.
  • Provide operational support for all air carrier training conducted by FlightSafety.
  • Communicate with customers using standardized templates to gather information for development of training programs.  Coordinate with Sales as necessary for approvals before proceeding to communicate change requests or new program requests to the Document Management Solutions (DMS) team.
  • Audit air carrier customer training documentation for currency, quality, and accuracy when coordinating requests for air carrier program changes/amendments.  Provide air carrier customer with training program template changes as applicable.
  • Coordinate with Course Builder (CDM) team and air carrier operators to ensure required training documentation is received prior to air carrier reservations/class start dates.
  • Assist in the development and creation of standardized templates for approval documents, and processes/procedures that support a controlled customer document audit cycle
  • Responsible for review and approval of all air carrier documentation, checking for accuracy and completeness, that has been submitted by customers and Learning Centers.
  • Ensure all regulatory ICAO documentation is reviewed for accuracy and compliance with QMS.  File using standard naming conventions in a central Regulatory Affairs location for distribution to the appropriate internal recipients.
  • Respond to Learning Center focal questions regarding necessary documentation and coordinate with air carrier customers to ensure missing or inaccurate documentation required for training is approved and available.
  • Act as a regulatory point of contact for Learning Center questions regarding associated air carrier regulatory requirements, QMS/SMS procedures, etc...
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training for customers and FlightSafety teammates regarding air carrier and regulatory affairs requirements/procedures.
  • Assist in other Regulatory Affairs areas as needed.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  (Minimum Requirements)

 

Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school preferred, or three (3) years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; equivalency years experience substitution must be in related field; plus

 

Experience with FlightSafety International in a regulatory related role, preferred.

 

Experience with air carrier operations and training requirements, preferred.

 

Knowledge of aviation industry terminology, Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), and prerequisites for FlightSafety International courses, as specified by FAA, and other NAA guidelines, preferred.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communication skills; able to speak, understand, read and write

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

Ability to interact with various levels of management in a professional manner

Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high pressure situations

Knowledge of management principles and their applications

A second language may be required in some Learning Centers to meet particular needs
