The Role:

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk coordinates and expedites shipment of goods to/from vendors, customers and between plant facilities. He/She will assemble and pack all types of parts and material for shipping and receives incoming shipments and has accountability for shipping/receiving documentation accuracy and movement between departments, inventory counts and location, ITAR / EAR compliance and training.

 

The Responsisbilities:

  • All aspects of shipping from determining the best method for shipping to assembling appropriate shipping container
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Trains for and maintains annual training currency in ITAR and EAR compliance issues as relates to export of products.
  • Requests shipping quotes and looks for best cost savings for the company.
  • Tags and directs items requiring inspection to Quality Control.
  • Coordinates with Buyer and Program Manager with regard to damaged shipments, short shipments, transportation requirements, inter-building transfers and goods outward shipments.
  • Uses Syteline to reconcile and allocate inventory on a periodic basis.
  • Safe operation of fork lift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping dock to scales or transport vehicles.
  • Stays compliant on export rules and regulations, as well as Hazmat requirements.

 

The Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years related experience. Forklift license.

Must be accountable, dependable, organized, detail oriented and customer focused. Syteline experience a plus!
